Terms of service
Last updated 3 October 2026
Menagerie is run by Artifact. Using it means agreeing to these terms. They are short because the product is: a place to keep things in lists and share them with the people you choose.
Your things stay yours
You own what you add: the lists, the notes, the order. You give Artifact only the permission needed to store it, show it to the people your sharing settings name, and export it when you ask. Nothing you keep is used for advertising, sold, or used to train models.
Sharing is your call
Every list starts private. You decide who sees it: named people, a group, your friends, anyone with a link, or everyone. Making a list public means anyone can read it and search engines may index it, and that cannot be fully undone once it has been seen.
What you may not do
Do not add content you have no right to share, content that targets or harasses a person, or anything unlawful where you live. Do not try to reach other people's private lists, overload the service, or misuse an assistant connected to your account. We may remove content and close accounts that do.
Assistants act as you
An AI assistant you connect sees only what you can see and acts under your name, with every change it makes labeled. You are responsible for what it does with the access you give it, and you can revoke that access at any time from Settings.
Leaving
Any list can be exported in open formats at any time. Deleting your account removes your lists and notes and anonymizes comments you left on other people's lists.
The service as it is
Menagerie is open source and non-commercial, provided as it is, without warranty. Artifact may change or stop the service, and will give notice and an export path if it does. Artifact is not liable for losses from using it, to the extent the law allows.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and signed-in people are told. Questions go to the Support page.
